I had some excitement today. I went to Jay's work and got to meet George Huff! For those of you who don't know who George is, he was a finalist for American Idol season 3. He made it to the top 5 and was the last male on the show. He was very sweet and nice. Go out and buy his CDs!  

We went to Rutland Water, which is a big reservoir area about an hour or less north of us. They have a butterfly center there. Ryan was so tickled to get to have a butterfly on his finger. We went there during Madison's spring break.  

This was a sign advertising a restaurant at Rutland Water where we went to see the butterflies. I thought this sign was cute because of "Elevenses".  

This butterfly was great. It would walk onto your hand and would stay whever ever you put it. Jay put it in Ryan's hair so I took a couple of quick pics. Poor Ryan wouldn't take his jacket off and you can see he's all sweaty in this picture because they have it so hot and humid in the butterfly center.

Here is Madison holding a giant snail. I believe it's an African snail. It was alive, but in it's shell.  

This here is a really creepy bug. It's called a jungle nymph. It looks like an overgrown preying mantis with spikes all over it's body. I was right up on it before I saw it. It freaked me out!  

Here is an Atlas moth. This moth is really huge! I swear it's as big as my hand.

Here's a picture of Ryan's 4th birthday cake. His party was race car themed so I made him a race track cake! It's a marble cake with vanilla whipped cream icing colored green with crushed oreo cookies around the edge for the race track.

Here's a photo I took of a hawk and bird in his talons. He ran into our front window to catch the little bird. There were feathers flying all over the place.
