The last scene they do is of the living Nativity. It was pretty cool with the live animals. I was able to take a picture of a Twilight poster at a train station on our way home from NYC. Go see the movie, EVERYONE!!! Hope everyone likes all the new pics!

In Santa's workshop, there were tons of ragdolls dancing around. I wasn't quick enough to get the pic, but they held up all these boxes and it spelled out Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Then the Rockettes came out in these silver sparkly outfits. Very pretty.

There were a couple of boys on stage and one of them was saying how he didn't believe in Santa so Santa came on stage and showed the boys how he's able to be in several places at once. This was pretty neat to watch. Again, I say, the screen in the back of the stage is awesome! It made 30 Santas look like 100s. Then Santa took the boys to the North Pole so they could pick out a present for their little sister.

The tour bus went by the various sights of NYC, then it ended at Central Park, where there was a real ice skating rink on the stage and they had a couple doing cool ice skating.

The toy soldiers program was one of my favorites. We loved it when the cannon went "boom!" and the soldiers slowly went down like dominoes. Then the Rockettes went on a tour bus ride through NYC. The screen on the back of the stage is amazing!

The chandelier in the lobby of Radio City is just gorgeous and huge. The thing is at least 2 stories long! The Christmas show put on a Nutcracker scene. You can see the little girl "Clara" and the characters from the Nutcracker.

So the show started with the Rockettes coming out dressed at reindeer, then Santa came out. The kids all loved Santa! I just wanted to say with all the pictures on this blog, you can click on them and see bigger verisons. I know these look small, but it you click on them, you can see them much better.

We had an awesome time at Radio City. If you should be in NYC and get a chance to go see their Christmas Spectacular, GO! We were lucky to get free tickets to the show they put on for the military and their families. The 3 girls came on stage and sang the National Anthem for us. As the show was starting, the orchestra popped up from underneath the stage. It was really cool!

New York City trip

Here's some more pictures from NYC. When we went to Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center is right next door so we went over and checked out the ice skaters and I found the spot where the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree will be placed! When we were waiting to get into Radio City, they had guys playing bag pipes outside for us. Very neat.

Me and the kids went to NYC 2 Sundays in a row. We went to the Radio City Music Hall's Christmas Spectacular on one of those Sundays, we had to pick up our RCMH tickets the Sunday before. We wound up being in NYC the day of the NYC marathon so after we picked up our tickets, we headed over to Central Park to watch all the runners. Then I took the kids into the park and found a big playground for them to play in. I make them do a lot of walking in NYC so I decided to treat them with the playground trip. I have to say Central Park in the fall is gorgeous! All the leaves changing color is unbelievable!
