For Halloween this year, the kids dressed as Anakin and Padme from Star Wars. I carved 3 pumpkins this year. I will not be doing that again! I had blisters on my fingers for a week! I am proud of my pumpkins though. The movie Twilight comes out Friday, 11-21-08. Go see it!! And read the books, they're awesome!! I think my Evil Monkey and Puss in Boots pumpkins turned out pretty good, if I do say so myself!
The last concert of the season at Six Flags was Foreigner. I've seen Foreigner once before when they had their original lead singer, Lou Gramm, with them. I do have to say that this new guy (don't know his name), sounds really good and he sang all the songs I wanted to hear. They had Jason Bonham playing drums for them. His dad was the drummer for Led Zepplin. They even played a couple of Zepplin tunes that night. I didn't get a good pic of him. Believe me, I tried!
Missy and Bubba say "Hi!". Missy is still doing well. As long as she takes her meds, you can't even tell she's sick. Bubba is probably going to live forever. Nothing is ever wrong with him!

At the end of the Broadway on Broadway, the people on stage lead the audience into a singalong of "New York, New York". Then the confetti started raining down on us. It was totally awesome!

I took the kids to NYC a few weeks ago to see Broadway on Broadway. It's where they close down Times Square and put up a stage in the middle of it all. Then all the musicals from Broadway each perform a song from their show on the stage for free. We missed a few of the performances because we had to walk around a few blocks to get into the crowd. It was really hot that day too. When we got back home, I bought the kids ice cream for being such good sports for me that day. In the pictures, the one with the blonde girl, she sang a song from Wicked. At one point John Leguizamo came on stage and talked A LOT. We were there to hear singing, not talking! The Christmas themed pic was of Irving Berlin's White Christmas. It actually snowed on stage! The Spamalot pic has Drew Lachey on the far left. Then the girl in the floral dress plays Ariel in the Little Mermaid. She's pretty good!

First day of school

I know it's been awhile since I've posted. I've got a lot of pictures to upload now. I'll start with Madison and Ryan on their first day of school. Madison is in 5th and Ryan is in 1st this year.

Jay is gone

Hi all, Jay has been sent to Iraq. He's still traveling
there at the moment. He just left on Monday.
We took this picture literally just hours before he left.
We miss you Jay!

Here's pics from the latest concert we went to: Boys II Men. They were good. It was a hot day and those guys were sweating a lot!

Here's the pictures from the Good Charlotte part of the show.
I just had to include a video of the audience. I've never seen so many people
at a Six Flags concert before. There were so many people jumping the whole place was shaking!

Here's some pictures from the Metro Station, Good Charlotte concert. Ryan and Madison were enjoying themselves at the concert.

This was the second act for the Katy Perry concert. The black guy is named Schwayze and the white guy is Cisco Adler. For an eye scarring experience, google Cisco Adler's balls! They have a song called "Buzzin'" that I'd actually heard before. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hY1rbOM7vbg

Six Flags concerts

So we've been going to Six Flags a lot this summer. Ryan is finally big enough to ride The Buccaneer by himself. He's been riding it every chance he can. We've also been going to a lot of concerts. I believe we went to 4 concerts this past week.

Here's some pictures of the Katy Perry concert. She had 2 opening acts.
The first one here was a rap group called Tyga. They have some Lime and Coconut song. I hadn't ever heard anything from them.

Swimming lessons

All summer long, the kids have been taking swimming lessons. Here's some pics and videos I took at one of their lessons.

Brand new baby birds

I almost forgot this picture of the dove
babies. This was when they were
first hatched.

Central Park

So we finally made it to Central Park. One of the coolest parks I've ever been in. There were tons of people performing and just chilling out. We found a really pretty fountain and hung out around it for a bit. Then we found Strawberry Fields and there was a group of guys performing Beatles songs. It was totally awesome. Of course it wouldn't be NYC without the random crazy yelling out stuff in the middle of the song. The crazy guy is the one who put all the flowers around the Imagine sidewalk so I guess I should thank him for that. I thought it was really pretty.
